Mission . vision . values

The Chitima-Macuse Rail and Port project was conceived as a public private partnership to provide the most cost-effective logistics, unlocking minerals and natural resources for the benefits of the sponsors as well as of the country in the form of tax revenues, employment creation and improvement of people’s livelihood.

Initially designed as a predominantly logistics corridor for coal, the Project has been re-defined to also be the backbone for economic, social, and humanitarian development in Northern Mozambique.

Design, build, operate an efficient logistics corridor from Chitima to Macuse, serving domestic locations as well as landlocked neighboring countries.

Allow Mozambique to profit from its rich natural resources, by providing transportation to export markets in Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Become a key agent of social and economic change by providing new and improved
opportunities (jobs, healthcare and education) to the affected communities.
